Dr Lina Channo has over 20 years of experience in the medical field. She completed her internship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and residency at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Before starting her general practice training, she worked at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research, working in the areas of nasal, sinus, allergy and asthma research. As part of her training, Lina worked in general practice in Orange and at Orange Base Hospital as a paediatric registrar for her special skills training. In 2010, Lina obtained her fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Whilst Lina enjoys the diversity of general practice, her special interests are paediatrics, family planning and women’s health. She is qualified in Implanon insertion and removal and Mirena removal. She is particularly passionate and knowledgeable when it comes to menopause, an area of women’s health where she offers a comprehensive approach to management by understanding, and empathising with the challenges that women go through. Her other areas of interest are mental health, preventive health, lifestyle medicine and weight loss management.

Lina is caring, thorough and enjoys being able to build long term relationships with her patients to offer holistic care. Outside of medicine, Lina lives locally and is married with two children. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, yoga and reading.
Dr Channo’s consulting days are Tuesday’s, Thursday’s, Friday’s and one Saturday per month.
