Leesa Garrety

Registered Psychologist - BSc (Psychology); Master of Arts; DipEd (Primary)

Leesa is a Registered Psychologist, who trained at the University of New South Wales and Sydney University. She has extensive knowledge and experience in working with acute and chronic clinical Mental Health presentations, such as schizophrenia and bipolar, as well as with gambling addictions, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting concerns and has experience in working with children, adolescents, adults as well as older persons. Her special interests are parenting interventions, attachment theory depression, anxiety, gambling and post natal depression and psycho-education.

Leesa is a Psychology Supervisor and mentors and teaches Psychology Interns. She works collaboratively, using a variety of therapy styles including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focussed therapy, Motivational Interviewing and strengths based therapy. Leesa’s approach to treatment is that is should be a collaboration, with the aim to assist the client to identify and build on their strengths to help them to live the fulfilling and value filled life they deserve.

She is a Registrered Psychologist with AHPRA and Medicare and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPI).

Moumita Paul

Registered Psychologist - BPsych, GradDip Psych, MAPS, AHPRA, APS

Moumita is a Psychologist with over 10 years of experience. She is an empathetic, compassionate and collaborative practitioner who, at times, brings light-heartedness and humour to her therapeutic practice. She enjoys working with young adults and adults presenting with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, family and relationship issues, difficulties with parenting and other stressors that might impact the individual in daily life.

She is motivated in providing evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and Schema Therapy to individuals, to build her clients’ resilience and empower them to live a more fulfilled life.

Moumita is registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and has an Associate Membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Gauri Donald

Dietitian

Gauri is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian specialising in digestive health and diabetes management. She grew up in the country side on fresh vegetarian food and loved growing vegetables from a young age. Gauri has a special interest in South Asian Diets and Vegetarian diets but believes that healthy eating is possible in every culture and cuisine.  She is passionate about cooking from fresh ingredients and trialing various cuisines. She is a mother of a toddler and understands the challenges of cooking for a family with varying nutritional needs and tastes.

Gauri has been working as a dietitian for 10 years and in private practice 6 years. She enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team who are committed to holistic and preventative health. Gauri’s favourite thing about being a private dietitian is getting to know and help her patients from diverse backgrounds to love food and enjoy good health. Gauri has had experience in a major public hospitals and various nursing homes. Jessica Bacha

Physiotherapist

Jessica has been a practicing Physiotherapist enjoying both private practice sports therapies and general practice to provide patients programs to assist with muscular strength and rehabilitation. She has a special interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and applies best practice/ evidence based approach to treatment; incorporating Individualised and patient centered care. Jessica is passionate about health care and fitness and has developed many skills working in multiple physiotherapy settings: Private practice, hospitals and occupational rehab. She has completed, Bounce Back lower back preventative core exercise training programs and the esteemed Professor Jill Cook’s Lower Limb Tendinopathy course and Sports Level 1.

Isabella Ooi

Podiatrist

Isabella is a Registered Podiatrist with the Australian Podiatry Association having graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Medicine. She has experience within Australia in both public and private sectors, has complete training with podiatric surgeons and overseas in Galway, Ireland.

Having grown up on the North Shore, she is passionate about servicing her community and playing an active role in improving the quality of life of others. Her specialty is interacting with ‘at risk’ populations such as elderly and diabetic patients. Isabella is particularly interested in diabetic foot care, fungal nails, treating ingrown nails and nail surgery. She has a holistic treatment approach incorporating evidence-based practice; extending to life style modifications and orthotic therapy.

Her easy going, compassionate and sincere nature is what helps patients warm to her so quickly. She loves a good chat and challenge, and she strives to have every patient walk out with a smile.

Amy Zheng

Diabetes Educator

The Madison Medical Practice Hornsby welcomes Amy Zheng, an Diabetes Educator. Amy Zheng starts consulting at Madison Hornsby Practice on the 21st of June. She will consult on Friday every fortnight. For an appointment with Amy Zheng please call 9987-2226.

Amy has worked as a registered nurse specializing in chronic disease management since 2007, with a particular focus on diabetes. She furthered her education and is now a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), offering care for adults with type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes.

Amy provides expert advice on self-management strategies to achieve optimal diabetes outcomes. She is skilled in using diabetes technology devices, such as continuous glucose monitoring systems. Additionally, Amy coordinates subjects in the Postgraduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management course at UTS.
