Mags Redhead Midwife and Lactation Consultant

Mags Redhead

Midwife and Lactation Consultant

Mags is a Registered Midwife and International Breastfeeding Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a Member of Lactation Consultants of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ), International Lactation Consultants Association (ILCA).

She graduated as a Midwife BSC (Hons) in the UK. My experience as a midwife for the past 20 years has come from working at some of the largest teaching hospitals in the UK. She moved to Sydney almost 10 years ago with my family, and for the past 9 years and has been working at Mater Private Hospital as a midwife and more recently as Lactation Consultant and discharge and early follow up midwife.

As a mother of 5 children, including twins, she knows how challenging breastfeeding can be. Her passion for breastfeeding and those early days following birth, has come not only from her own experience but also working with new parents and the challenges that comes with becoming new parents.
Her aim is to support you with any antenatal concerns you may have around breastfeeding and with any breastfeeding challenges once your baby is born. She will provide individualised care, using evidence based practice to deliver the best outcome for you and your baby.
