We do ear piercings from ages 6 weeks and above. All children under the age of 16 years has to have parent consent.
We follow a Medical Simultaneous ear piercing, which means that both earlobes are pierced at the same time. The whole procedure is faster, feels safer and more comfortable for the child.
YES! You can go swimming after piercing your ears, but it is important to consider that the longer period of time that has passed since the time of piercing, the better. If you do go swimming clean straight away with either soapy water or the Blomdahl piercing aftercare cleansing swabs which are gentle on the skin and easy to use.
An ear piercing is in fact a small wound. It is important to take proper care of it throughout the healing period (approx. 6–12 weeks), in order to avoid it getting infected. By following the aftercare instructions, you can minimize the risk of infection. You are advised to clean the hole thoroughly once or twice a day, using soap and water or Blomdahl Piercing Aftercare cleansing swabs, which are gentle on the skin and easy to use but the Medical Piercer will go into more detail at the time of your appointment.
YES! Our Medical Piercer is qualified to do nose piercing and cartilage piercings. Although age must be 16 and above as the risk of infection is more common in the nose and cartilage, as there is much less blood supply to these areas and does not have the same built-in protection against infection as the lobe of the ear.
