Gus has been a Doctor for over 17 years and a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2010. Gus is passionate about Patient care, and prides himself on attention to detail and thoroughness. His vast experience in both rural and city communities have given him a greater understanding of people which enhances patient engagement.
Gus has worked in several leading hospitals including the Royal Adelaide and St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney over his career and enjoys teaching the next generation of General Practitioners as a GP Synergy Supervisor. Gagan is a female General Practitioner who graduated from the Government Medical College in Amritsar, India in 1992. After migrating to Australia in 1996 she continued her studies and trained at Prince of Wales Hospital, Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Rozelle Hospitals for many years to expose herself to many areas of patient care to enhance her medical experience. Gagan commenced her General Practice Specialty training at the University of Western Sydney as a part of the “Wentwest” program in 2005. After completing her rural term in Oberon she joined the team at The Madison Medical Practice in 2006 and has been a devoted to the St Ives community ever since. Gagan’s empathetic and extensive experience has seen patients come from all over Sydney, a testament of her commitment to practice holistic medicine. Gagan has a special interest in Women’s and Children’s health, as well as Family Health, Geriatrics and Mental Health. Gagan is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi. Her aim as a General Practitioner is to practice medicine where she can provide quality care to all her patients and be available for them when in need.
Dr L Channo has been a Doctor for over 17 years. She worked as in intern at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and trained for 5 years at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital as a Senior Resident Medical Officer in areas of Cardiology, Haematology, General Medicine and Paediatrics while also conducting research for the Woolcock Institute in Respiratory Medicine in areas of allergy and asthma.
She joined General Practice training through the rural pathway in Orange where she took special skills training in Paediatrics at Orange Base Hospital which she thoroughly enjoyed. She completed her General Practice training in 2010 and obtained her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
She relocated to Sydney with her family in 2012 where she has been practicing in the North Shore area since.
She also holds a certificate of sexual health and family planning.
Dr. Channo is very caring and thorough in her approach and has a special interest in Paediatrics, Women’s health, Mental health, General Medicine and Preventative Health.
She also performs minor procedures only Implanon insertion and removal.
Lina is a GP clinical supervisor for Sydney University Medical Students.
Michael is a male General practitioner with a vast experience in General medicine. He has worked in many country hospitals by leading emergency and Intensive care departments. His down to earth nature makes him a popular and liked GP. His interest includes all aspects of general practice including travel advice, chronic health management, mental health, paediatrics, emergency care, weight loss and men’s health.
Dr Serena Kaur graduated with a MBBS from Adelaide University in 2007 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Serena has special interests in Women’s Health, Perinatal & Paediatric Care and Mental Health. Serena will be consulting on Mondays and Wednesdays at St Ives bringing great experience to the team. Serena is fluent in Malay, Hindi and Punjabi for those patients requiring their appointment in their native language. Leesa is a Registered Psychologist, who trained at the University of New South Wales and Sydney University. She has extensive knowledge and experience in working with acute and chronic clinical Mental Health presentations, such as schizophrenia and bipolar, as well as with gambling addictions, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting concerns and has experience in working with children, adolescents, adults as well as older persons. Her special interests are parenting interventions, attachment theory depression, anxiety, gambling and post natal depression and psycho-education.
Leesa is a Psychology Supervisor and mentors and teaches Psychology Interns. She works collaboratively, using a variety of therapy styles including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focussed therapy, Motivational Interviewing and strengths based therapy. Leesa’s approach to treatment is that is should be a collaboration, with the aim to assist the client to identify and build on their strengths to help them to live the fulfilling and value filled life they deserve.
She is a Registrered Psychologist with AHPRA and Medicare and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPI).
Stephanie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian from The University of Sydney and is dedicated to teaching individuals about the importance of nutrition and health. Stephanie enjoys cooking healthy recipes at home and trying new cuisines with family and friends. Her nutrition philosophy is free from fad diets and focuses on the use of wholefoods and balance to help patient’s meet their nutrition goals. Stephanie is passionate about providing personalised dietary advice to her patients from every culture to help them lead healthier lives. She has had experience in major public hospitals such as Concord Hospital, as well as one-on-one nutrition consultancy. Stephanie has a particular interest in assisting patients with weight loss, weight gain, healthy eating, diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol management, vegetarian and vegan diets, emotional eating and women’s health. Gauri is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian specialising in South Asian Diets. She grew up in the country side on fresh vegetarian food and loved growing vegetables from a young age. She believes that healthy eating is possible in every culture and cuisine. Gauri is passionate about cooking from fresh ingredients and trialling various cuisines. She is a mother of a toddler and understands the challenges of cooking for a family with varying nutritional needs and tastes. Gauri has been working as a dietitian for 5 years and in private practice for 2 years. She enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team who are committed to holistic and preventative health. Gauri’s favourite thing about being a private dietitian is getting to know and help her patients from diverse backgrounds to love food and enjoy good health. Gauri has had experience in a major public hospitals and various nursing homes. Jessica has been a practicing Physiotherapist enjoying both private practice sports therapies and general practice to provide patients programs to assist with muscular strength and rehabilitation. She has a special interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and applies best practice/ evidence based approach to treatment; incorporating Individualised and patient centered care. Jessica is passionate about health care and fitness and has developed many skills working in multiple physiotherapy settings: Private practice, hospitals and occupational rehab. She has completed, Bounce Back lower back preventative core exercise training programs and the esteemed Professor Jill Cook’s Lower Limb Tendinopathy course and Sports Level 1.
Isabella is a Registered Podiatrist with the Australian Podiatry Association having graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Medicine. She has experience within Australia in both public and private sectors, has complete training with podiatric surgeons and overseas in Galway, Ireland.
Having grown up on the North Shore, she is passionate about servicing her community and playing an active role in improving the quality of life of others. Her specialty is interacting with ‘at risk’ populations such as elderly and diabetic patients. Isabella is particularly interested in diabetic foot care, fungal nails, treating ingrown nails and nail surgery. She has a holistic treatment approach incorporating evidence-based practice; extending to life style modifications and orthotic therapy.
Her easy going, compassionate and sincere nature is what helps patients warm to her so quickly. She loves a good chat and challenge, and she strives to have every patient walk out with a smile.

To complement her skills, she later completed another Degree in Health majoring in Management, Health promotion and Education. Linda has extensive Clinical and Managerial experience within the hospital and community health settings, by leading both clinical and non-clinical personnel, and has been a Mentor to many students over the past 20 years. Linda is a qualified Child and Family Health Nurse and Nurse Immuniser. In 2016 Linda was appointed a AGPAL Co-surveyor enabling her to review and accredit other General Practice facilities to ensure optimum service delivery to all patients across Australia. Linda has extensive experience with babies and prides herself on assisting and educating mothers with their newborns. Linda’s care and devotion to her patients has seen her become a popular Health Care Professional not only within the Hornsby & St Ives Community but the North Shore.

Mags is a Registered Midwife and International Breastfeeding Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a Member of Lactation Consultants of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ), International Lactation Consultants Association (ILCA).
She graduated as a Midwife BSC (Hons) in the UK. My experience as a midwife for the past 20 years has come from working at some of the largest teaching hospitals in the UK. She moved to Sydney almost 10 years ago with my family, and for the past 9 years and has been working at Mater Private Hospital as a midwife and more recently as Lactation Consultant and discharge and early follow up midwife.
As a mother of 5 children, including twins, she knows how challenging breastfeeding can be. Her passion for breastfeeding and those early days following birth, has come not only from her own experience but also working with new parents and the challenges that comes with becoming new parents.
Her aim is to support you with any antenatal concerns you may have around breastfeeding and with any breastfeeding challenges once your baby is born. She will provide individualised care, using evidence based practice to deliver the best outcome for you and your baby.
Troy has studied at both The University of New South Wales and The University of Sydney. Over the past 20 years he has held Senior roles in clinical and business positions in both Primary and Secondary Eyecare settings. He has led teams and developed strategies to successfully launch new Ophthalmic procedures and products to benefit patient welfare and accelerate business performance.
After managing The Sydney Eye Centre – a combined Ophthalmic Day Surgery and Eye Centre for Primary Health Care Ltd, he established Primary Eye Care in 2002, the first company in Australia to incorporate 4 levels of eyecare (Ophthalmology, Orthoptic’s, Optometry and Optical Dispensing) and grew this to 3 practices across Sydney in 7 years. He sold his interest in 2009 and embarked on a corporate career with Alcon Laboratories Ltd – a Global Eyecare leader in Ophthalmic Devices/Pharmaceuticals and was appointed the first National Key Account Manager for the Surgical Division in 2015, and was responsible for developing strategic Ophthalmic partnerships with National and International Corporate Groups.
As a Director of The Madison Medical Practice for the past 4 years, his vision is to continually shape and grow the companies culture and ethos of “Excellence with Empathy” for the St Ives Community. Troy’s aim will be to deliver processes to assist in achieving the highest standard of general practice care collectively with like-minded Health Care Professionals.
