Gagan is a female General Practitioner who graduated from the Government Medical College in Amritsar, India in 1992. After migrating to Australia in 1996 she continued her studies and trained at Prince of Wales Hospital, Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Rozelle Hospitals for many years to expose herself to many areas of patient care to enhance her medical experience. Gagan commenced her General Practice Specialty training at the University of Western Sydney as a part of the “Wentwest” program in 2005. After completing her rural term in Oberon she joined the team at The Madison Medical Practice in 2006 and has been a devoted to the St Ives community ever since. Gagan’s empathetic and extensive experience has seen patients come from all over Sydney, a testament of her commitment to practice holistic medicine. Gagan has a special interest in Women’s and Children’s health, as well as Family Health, Geriatrics and Mental Health. Gagan is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi. Her aim as a General Practitioner is to practice medicine where she can provide quality care to all her patients and be available for them when in need.
Dr L Channo has been a Doctor for over 17 years. She worked as in intern at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and trained for 5 years at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital as a Senior Resident Medical Officer in areas of Cardiology, Haematology, General Medicine and Paediatrics while also conducting research for the Woolcock Institute in Respiratory Medicine in areas of allergy and asthma.
She joined General Practice training through the rural pathway in Orange where she took special skills training in Paediatrics at Orange Base Hospital which she thoroughly enjoyed. She completed her General Practice training in 2010 and obtained her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
She relocated to Sydney with her family in 2012 where she has been practicing in the North Shore area since.
She also holds a certificate of sexual health and family planning.
Dr. Channo is very caring and thorough in her approach and has a special interest in Paediatrics, Women’s health, Mental health, General Medicine and Preventative Health.
She also performs minor procedures only Implanon insertion and removal.

The Madison Medical Practice St Ives welcomes Dr Kalppana Paramanandarajah to our Practice, we are delighted that she is now consulting with our dedicated team of professionals.
Kalppana will start consulting on April 15th 2020, working Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursday and Saturdays.
Kalppana received her MBBS from the University of Queensland in 2010 after completing a Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Sydney. She went on to complete further hospital training across NSW including Westmead Hospital and Coffs Harbour Hospital before entering into General Practice.
Kalppana attained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General practitioners in 2016. She has completed a Diploma in Child Health through Westmead Children’s Hospital.
She enjoys the wide range of challenges a day in General Practice brings and enjoys treating patients of all ages and genders. She has a special interest in Women’s health and paediatrics, including perinatal mental health and lactation medicine.
Kalppana has a strong focus on preventative medicine and above all, values the long term relationships she develops with her patients and their families to ensure the best health outcomes. Outside of medicine, she enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her two sons.

The Madison Medical Practice St Ives welcomes Dr Chitra Das an experienced Medical Practitioner (GP) who graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and received her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017.
Chitra will commence working at the Practice on Saturday 9th of November 2019.
Chitra’s special interests include Paediatrics and Skin Cancers. She has attained a Diploma in Paediatrics and Adolescent health from Sydney Westmead hospital, and obtained Advanced surgical training in Skin Cancer Surgery from Health Cert under Bond University Queensland.
Apart from advanced training in Skin Cancer diagnosis and treatment, and Paediatrics, Chitra has interests in Women’s Health, and Geriatric Management of chronic disease. Chitra performs minor operations such as Ingrown toe nail surgery, Suturing, removal of foreign bodies, Implanon and Mirena contraceptive insertion.
Chitra is excited about joining the Madison Medical Team as she believes in continuity of patient care, and provides preventive care with education to her patients, an ethos we both share.

Dr Serena Kaur graduated with a MBBS from Adelaide University in 2007 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Clayton is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) who started his medical training in western Sydney. After graduating in 2012, he went on to train in various hospitals around Queensland and South Australia, where he gained valuable skills and experience in rural settings.
Clayton has a special interest in chronic disease management. He is a firm believer in improvement of health outcomes through establishment of a long term, trusting, therapeutic relationship with his patients. Therefore he highly values continuity of care.
Clayton is also strongly passionate about adult general medicine and preventative medicine. He is approachable and would love to welcome patients even for a simple general health check.
In terms of minor procedures, he is highly skilled in simple skin lesion excisions, suturing, foreign body removal and ingrown toenail treatment.
Before migrating to Australia, Clayton has spent most of his life living in Canada. He graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree. Having lived in multiple countries, he has a great appreciation and respect for the diverse range of cultures and backgrounds that patients come from.

Eric is a family GP who enjoys all aspects of general practice.
He is a registered antenatal shared care practitioner with additional post graduate qualifications including special interests in sports medicine, men’s health, family medicine and chronic care.
He is a great listener and goes beyond to solve complex medical cases. He has a beautiful wife Cecilia and is a doting father to two very adorable daughters.
He trained at RPA hospital, served with the Royal Australian Army Medical Corp from 2008 to 2013 and during this time conducted humanitarian logistic work abroad in Nepal & The Solomon Islands. Since then, he has worked locally as a family GP in Western Sydney for many years.
Eric has a special interest in Sports medicine, Mens Health, Paediatrics and Family medicine.
Dr Mark is currently specialising in both General Practice and Medical Administration. He is a Medical Educator at the University of Notre Dame, School of Medicine, Sydney, and is currently undertaking the research component of his Master degree in Health Professional Education. He is also studying a Master of Health Management and International Public Health. Dr Mark has worked as a GP Registrar in the Blue Mountains and Western Sydney, and has a background as an after-hours doctor with the National Home Doctor Service. He has also worked across many hospitals in South-Western Sydney, as well as rural and remote Australia.
Dr Mark’s interests include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, refugee health, mental health, sexual health, young adult medicine and paediatrics.

Edward Ryan is a General Practitioner at The Madison Medical Practice Hornsby. Edward has extensive experience as a Family Doctor who relieves the Senior General Practitioner’s when they are on leave. Edward enjoys working in remote communities and spends most his year in central Australia managing and treating indigenous communities. Mark Haber is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon focused on advanced shoulder arthroscopy and open techniques.
He is one of the most awarded arthroscopic shoulder specialists in Australia. Mark has presented at over 20 major international orthopaedic conferences in both Australia and abroad, winning best paper awards including ISAKOS Caspari award and has earned international recognition. Mark has performed over 2000 shoulder arthroscopies and pioneered modified techniques for arthroscopic rotator cuff and labral repairs. The techniques are now used in Europe, Asia, England and in the US.
His ongoing research includes biomechanical studies and rigorous postoperative evaluations, looking at ways to optimize the procedure and rehabilitation.

Leesa is a Registered Psychologist, who trained at the University of New South Wales and Sydney University. She has extensive knowledge and experience in working with acute and chronic clinical Mental Health presentations, such as schizophrenia and bipolar, as well as with gambling addictions, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting concerns and has experience in working with children, adolescents, adults as well as older persons. Her special interests are parenting interventions, attachment theory depression, anxiety, gambling and post natal depression and psycho-education.
Leesa is a Psychology Supervisor and mentors and teaches Psychology Interns. She works collaboratively, using a variety of therapy styles including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focussed therapy, Motivational Interviewing and strengths based therapy. Leesa’s approach to treatment is that is should be a collaboration, with the aim to assist the client to identify and build on their strengths to help them to live the fulfilling and value filled life they deserve.

Gauri is an Accredited Practising Dietitian specialising in South Asian Diets. She grew up in the country side on fresh vegetarian food and loved growing vegetables from a young age. She believes that healthy eating is possible in every culture and cuisine. Gauri is passionate about cooking from fresh ingredients and trialling various cuisines. She is a mother of a toddler and understands the challenges of cooking for a family with varying nutritional needs and tastes. Gauri has been working as a dietitian for 5 years and in private practice for 2 years. She enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team who are committed to holistic and preventative health. Gauri’s favourite thing about being a private dietitian is getting to know and help her patients from diverse backgrounds to love food and enjoy good health. Gauri has had experience in a major public hospitals and various nursing homes. Jessica has been a practicing Physiotherapist enjoying both private practice sports therapies and general practice to provide patients programs to assist with muscular strength and rehabilitation. Jessica is passionate about health care and fitness and has developed many skills working in multiple physiotherapy settings: Private practice, hospitals and occupational rehab. She has completed, Bounce Back lower back preventative core exercise training programs and the esteemed Professor Jill Cook’s Lower Limb Tendinopathy course and Sports Level 1.
Isabella is a Registered Podiatrist with the Australian Podiatry Association having graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Medicine. She has experience within Australia in both public and private sectors, has complete training with podiatric surgeons and overseas in Galway, Ireland.
Having grown up on the North Shore, she is passionate about servicing her community and playing an active role in improving the quality of life of others. Her specialty is interacting with ‘at risk’ populations such as elderly and diabetic patients. Isabella is particularly interested in diabetic foot care, fungal nails, treating ingrown nails and nail surgery. She has a holistic treatment approach incorporating evidence-based practice; extending to life style modifications and orthotic therapy.
Her easy going, compassionate and sincere nature is what helps patients warm to her so quickly. She loves a good chat and challenge, and she strives to have every patient walk out with a smile.

Sonia is a Registered Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia after completing her degree at the University of Sydney. Sonia has extensive experience assessing and treating children of different ages with a range of difficulties including speech, language and literacy delays, stuttering, social skills and behavioural difficulties in both private practice and school settings. Sonia’s empathetic personality and passion for working with kids makes her an approachable therapist that both children and families enjoy working with.
Sonia also has experience seeing clients with additional needs. She has developed a passion for early language therapy with a particular interest in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Sonia has been trained in various therapeutic techniques including Key Word Sign, Hanen Early Language program and the Lidcombe program. She utilises her clinical experiences and training to empower families to support and stimulate their children’s communication in natural settings. To complement her skills, she later completed another Degree in Health majoring in Management, Health promotion and Education. Linda has extensive Clinical and Managerial experience within the hospital and community health settings, by leading both clinical and non-clinical personnel, and has been a Mentor to many students over the past 20 years. Linda is a qualified Child and Family Health Nurse and Nurse Immuniser. In 2016 Linda was appointed a AGPAL Co-surveyor enabling her to review and accredit other General Practice facilities to ensure optimum service delivery to all patients across Australia. Linda has extensive experience with babies and prides herself on assisting and educating mothers with their newborns. Linda’s care and devotion to her patients has seen her become a popular Health Care Professional not only within the Hornsby & St Ives Community but the North Shore.

Troy has studied at both The University of New South Wales and The University of Sydney. Over the past 20 years he has held Senior roles in clinical and business positions in both Primary and Secondary Eyecare settings. He has led teams and developed strategies to successfully launch new Ophthalmic procedures and products to benefit patient welfare and accelerate business performance.
After managing The Sydney Eye Centre – a combined Ophthalmic Day Surgery and Eye Centre for Primary Health Care Ltd, he established Primary Eye Care in 2002, the first company in Australia to incorporate 4 levels of eyecare (Ophthalmology, Orthoptic’s, Optometry and Optical Dispensing) and grew this to 3 practices across Sydney in 7 years. He sold his interest in 2009 and embarked on a corporate career with Alcon Laboratories Ltd – a Global Eyecare leader in Ophthalmic Devices/Pharmaceuticals and was appointed the first National Key Account Manager for the Surgical Division in 2015, and was responsible for developing strategic Ophthalmic partnerships with National and International Corporate Groups.
As a Director of The Madison Medical Practice for the past 4 years, his vision is to continually shape and grow the companies culture and ethos of “Excellence with Empathy” for the St Ives Community.
