Gus has been a Doctor for over 17 years and a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2010. Gagan is a female General Practitioner who graduated from the Government Medical College in Amritsar, India in 1992. After migrating to Australia in 1996 she continued her studies and trained at Prince of Wales Hospital, Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Rozelle Hospitals for many years to expose herself to many areas of patient care to enhance her medical experience. Gagan commenced her General Practice Specialty training at the University of Western Sydney as a part of the “Wentwest” program in 2005. After completing her rural term in Oberon she joined the team at The Madison Medical Practice in 2006 and has been a devoted to the St Ives community ever since. Gagan’s empathetic and extensive experience has seen patients come from all over Sydney, a testament of her commitment to practice holistic medicine. Gagan has a special interest in Women’s and Children’s health, as well as Family Health, Geriatrics and Mental Health. Gagan is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi. Her aim as a General Practitioner is to practice medicine where she can provide quality care to all her patients and be available for them when in need.
Dr L Channo has been a Doctor for over 17 years. She worked as in intern at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and trained for 5 years at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital as a Senior Resident Medical Officer in areas of Cardiology, Haematology, General Medicine and Paediatrics while also conducting research for the Woolcock Institute in Respiratory Medicine in areas of allergy and asthma.
She joined General Practice training through the rural pathway in Orange where she took special skills training in Paediatrics at Orange Base Hospital which she thoroughly enjoyed. She completed her General Practice training in 2010 and obtained her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
She relocated to Sydney with her family in 2012 where she has been practicing in the North Shore area since.
She also holds a certificate of sexual health and family planning.
Dr. Channo is very caring and thorough in her approach and has a special interest in Paediatrics, Women’s health, Mental health, General Medicine and Preventative Health.
She also performs minor procedures only Implanon insertion and removal.
Lina is a GP clinical supervisor for Sydney University Medical Students.
Michael is a male General practitioner with a vast experience in General medicine. He has worked in many country hospitals by leading emergency and Intensive care departments. His down to earth nature makes him a popular and liked GP. Dr Serena Kaur graduated with a MBBS from Adelaide University in 2007 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Serena has special interests in Women’s Health, Perinatal & Paediatric Care and Mental Health. Serena will be consulting on Mondays and Wednesdays at St Ives bringing great experience to the team. The Madison Medical Practice St Ives welcomes Dr Kawisha Arander our GP Registrar to the team who will start consulting in February 2019. Kawisha graduated from her Medical Degree at UNSW in 2016 with distinction and completed her Internship and Residency at Nepean Hospital. She is passionate about preventative health care and strives in providing quality holistic care to her patients and their families. Apart from completing her GP training she is also completing a Master of Public Health at UNSW. Kawisha has a special interest in Paediatrics, and is developing these skills through the Sydney Child Health Program.
Steve is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of GPs. He has been a doctor since 2004 and has worked as a GP since 2009. Steve attended medical school at UNSW and trained during his junior doctor years with Royal North Shore Hospital and Concord Repatriation Hospital. Since his junior doctor years Steve has worked in hospitals and private clinics up and down the East Coast across the full breadth of medical specialties. He has published research papers in top journals, worked as the editor of one of the most read GP educational publications, and he currently holds a Diploma of Child Health through the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Steve has a strong interest in Men’s Health and Aged Care. He believes in long term collaborative patient care and the intrinsic value of prevention and early detection of disease. Joanne is a general practice registrar who graduated from University of New South Wales in 2016, and went on to complete her hospital training in Hornsby, Mona Vale, Manly and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals. In particular, she has a keen interest in women’s and children’s health and has undertaken further training in these areas, obtaining a Certificate in Women’s Health and Diploma of Child Health in 2018. She is currently also undertaking a Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health (with Family Planning Alliance Australia) as well as a Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine. Joanne has always had a passion for general practice, which stems from a desire to care for patients from all walks of life and build rewarding long-term relationships with patients and their families.
Edward Ryan is a General Practitioner at The Madison Medical Practice Hornsby. Edward has extensive experience as a Family Doctor who relieves the Senior General Practitioner’s when they are on leave. Edward enjoys working in remote communities and spends most his year in central Australia managing and treating indigenous communities.
