Gus has been a Doctor for over 17 years and a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2010. Gus is passionate about Patient care, and prides himself on attention to detail and thoroughness. His vast experience in both rural and city communities have given him a greater understanding of people which enhances patient engagement.
Gus has worked in several leading hospitals including the Royal Adelaide and St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney over his career and enjoys teaching the next generation of General Practitioners as a GP Synergy Supervisor. Gus has special interests in Peadatrics, Men’s health, Preventative Medicine and has experience in Aged Care management. Gus is fluent in English and Arabic.
Gagan is a female General Practitioner who graduated from the Government Medical College in Amritsar, India in 1992. After migrating to Australia in 1996 she continued her studies and trained at Prince of Wales Hospital, Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Rozelle Hospitals for many years to expose herself to many areas of patient care to enhance her medical experience. Gagan commenced her General Practice Specialty training at the University of Western Sydney as a part of the “Wentwest” program in 2005. After completing her rural term in Oberon she joined the team at The Madison Medical Practice in 2006 and has been a devoted to the St Ives community ever since. Gagan’s empathetic and extensive experience has seen patients come from all over Sydney, a testament of her commitment to practice holistic medicine. Gagan has a special interest in Women’s and Children’s health, as well as Family Health, Geriatrics and Mental Health. Gagan is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi. Her aim as a General Practitioner is to practice medicine where she can provide quality care to all her patients and be available for them when in need.
Dr L Channo has been a Doctor for over 17 years. She worked as in intern at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and trained for 5 years at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital as a Senior Resident Medical Officer in areas of Cardiology, Haematology, General Medicine and Paediatrics while also conducting research for the Woolcock Institute in Respiratory Medicine in areas of allergy and asthma.
She joined General Practice training through the rural pathway in Orange where she took special skills training in Paediatrics at Orange Base Hospital which she thoroughly enjoyed. She completed her General Practice training in 2010 and obtained her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
She relocated to Sydney with her family in 2012 where she has been practicing in the North Shore area since.
She also holds a certificate of sexual health and family planning.
Dr. Channo is very caring and thorough in her approach and has a special interest in Paediatrics, Women’s health, Mental health, General Medicine and Preventative Health.
She also performs minor procedures only Implanon insertion and removal.
Lina is a GP clinical supervisor for Sydney University Medical Students.
The Madison Medical Practice St Ives welcomes Dr Kalppana Paramanandarajah to our Practice, we are delighted that she is now consulting with our dedicated team of professionals.
Kalppana will start consulting on April 15th 2020, working Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursday and Saturdays.
Kalppana received her MBBS from the University of Queensland in 2010 after completing a Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Sydney. She went on to complete further hospital training across NSW including Westmead Hospital and Coffs Harbour Hospital before entering into General Practice.
Kalppana attained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General practitioners in 2016. She has completed a Diploma in Child Health through Westmead Children’s Hospital.
She enjoys the wide range of challenges a day in General Practice brings and enjoys treating patients of all ages and genders. She has a special interest in Women’s health and paediatrics, including perinatal mental health and lactation medicine.
Kalppana has a strong focus on preventative medicine and above all, values the long term relationships she develops with her patients and their families to ensure the best health outcomes. Outside of medicine, she enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her two sons.

The Madison Medical Practice St Ives welcomes Dr Chitra Das an experienced Medical Practitioner (GP) who graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and received her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017.
Chitra will commence working at the Practice on Saturday 9th of November 2019.
Chitra’s special interests include Paediatrics and Skin Cancers. She has attained a Diploma in Paediatrics and Adolescent health from Sydney Westmead hospital, and obtained Advanced surgical training in Skin Cancer Surgery from Health Cert under Bond University Queensland.
Apart from advanced training in Skin Cancer diagnosis and treatment, and Paediatrics, Chitra has interests in Women’s Health, and Geriatric Management of chronic disease. Chitra performs minor operations such as Ingrown toe nail surgery, Suturing, removal of foreign bodies, Implanon and Mirena contraceptive insertion.
Chitra is excited about joining the Madison Medical Team as she believes in continuity of patient care, and provides preventive care with education to her patients, an ethos we both share.
She is a mother of two beautiful young girls. And enjoys playing piano.

Dr Serena Kaur graduated with a MBBS from Adelaide University in 2007 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Clayton is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) who started his medical training in western Sydney. After graduating in 2012, he went on to train in various hospitals around Queensland and South Australia, where he gained valuable skills and experience in rural settings.
Clayton has a special interest in chronic disease management. He is a firm believer in improvement of health outcomes through establishment of a long term, trusting, therapeutic relationship with his patients. Therefore he highly values continuity of care.
Clayton is also strongly passionate about adult general medicine and preventative medicine. He is approachable and would love to welcome patients even for a simple general health check.
In terms of minor procedures, he is highly skilled in simple skin lesion excisions, suturing, foreign body removal and ingrown toenail treatment.
Before migrating to Australia, Clayton has spent most of his life living in Canada. He graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree. Having lived in multiple countries, he has a great appreciation and respect for the diverse range of cultures and backgrounds that patients come from.
Clayton is fluent in English and Cantonese.

Eric is a family GP who enjoys all aspects of general practice.
He is a registered antenatal shared care practitioner with additional post graduate qualifications including special interests in sports medicine, men’s health, family medicine and chronic care.
He is a great listener and goes beyond to solve complex medical cases. He has a beautiful wife Cecilia and is a doting father to two very adorable daughters.
He trained at RPA hospital, served with the Royal Australian Army Medical Corp from 2008 to 2013 and during this time conducted humanitarian logistic work abroad in Nepal & The Solomon Islands. Since then, he has worked locally as a family GP in Western Sydney for many years.
Eric has a special interest in Sports medicine, Mens Health, Paediatrics and Family medicine.
Dr Mark is currently specialising in both General Practice and Medical Administration. He is a Medical Educator at the University of Notre Dame, School of Medicine, Sydney, and is currently undertaking the research component of his Master degree in Health Professional Education. He is also studying a Master of Health Management and International Public Health. Dr Mark has worked as a GP Registrar in the Blue Mountains and Western Sydney, and has a background as an after-hours doctor with the National Home Doctor Service. He has also worked across many hospitals in South-Western Sydney, as well as rural and remote Australia.
Dr Mark’s interests include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, refugee health, mental health, sexual health, young adult medicine and paediatrics.
Dr Mark hails from Sydney, but has lived both interstate and overseas, including Japan, and speaks Japanese.
Edward Ryan is a General Practitioner at The Madison Medical Practice Hornsby. Edward has extensive experience as a Family Doctor who relieves the Senior General Practitioner’s when they are on leave. Edward enjoys working in remote communities and spends most his year in central Australia managing and treating indigenous communities.
